Third winner for Safeguard

Dinga (Safeguard x Macchiato) became Safeguard's third winner from his first crop when he demolished the field at Casterton yesterday over 1200m on a Heavy 8 track. Trained by Simon Wilde, Dinga was very unlucky not to win his first start, and the authority of his win yesterday shows that there is much more in store for the colt. With only 30 live foals in his first crop, Safeguard is doing an amazing job. He has 27 named horses (90%) and with three winners and 5 placegetters so far including the very talented black type performers Miss West Coast (3rd in the Karrakatta Plate) and Specialism (2nd in the WA Sires Produce) he has had a great start and will have a great future.
